Satori

Oslo based pianist and composer Julia Gjertsen's new record Formations is out in the world! The collection of 10 beautiful, texture filled ambient pieces is at once dense but delicate, with Julia expertly oscillating between catchy, beat driven hooks and slow motion soundscapes that cause us to lose track of time. "Formations refers to the process of creating this album and the main theme throughout this record is how everything takes form, what decides our personalities, who we become, how everything in nature forms and evolves."

Dear

The wonderful Stationary Travels is premiering Daigo Hanada's new piece "Dear" today. Head over to discover this tender piano improvisation from his upcoming record.

There is an elegant simplicity to his work, a balance between melody, harmony, and space that is easy to listen to but takes a special touch to achieve and that can be heard in the delicate flow of this poignantly tender piece that will capture your heart in the space of less than two minutes.

Pêtr Aleksänder

Very excited to announce that we're working with UK duo Pêtr Aleksänder on their upcoming LP! An alternative modern classical band comprising of Tom Hobden and Eliot James, Pêtr Aleksänder creates an expansive, cinematic, richly textured sound filled with strings, electronic undercurrents, and their signature, creaky, muted piano.

Their new material is fresh and uplifting, and we couldn't be happier to share the first piece from these sessions:

Landbrot I

Snorri Hallgrímsson's gorgeous new EP Landbrot I is out wherever you listen to music. If you have a cozy, reflective moment planned for the week(end), this will make a great sonic companion.

"Landbrot is my true happy place. I recently discovered that one meaning for landbrot is 'oasis' - as it's located between two big sandy plains in the southeast of Iceland. When I wrote this piece, my mind was kind of stuck in a sandy desert, and creating simple melodies on my home piano was my way of getting closer to that oasis. I hope it can take you to wherever your own oasis is..." (Snorri)

... land fractures ...

So very pleased to announce the double EP Landbrot by Snorri Hallgrímsson . This introspective and personal collection of instrumental pieces takes its name from the location of his family cabin in rural Iceland, which he describes as his ‘happy place’. Landbrot translates to erosion or ‘land fractures’, and from this we can imagine the search for inner calm & acceptance amongst the many obstacles of daily life. The first EP arrives November 13th, and you can listen to the 1st single here
