Snorri Hallgrímsson
Surely one of music's best-kept secrets, Icelandic composer and producer Snorri Hallgrímsson boasts an impressive list of credits both as a solo artist and as a collaborator on a wide variety of projects, including 'The Chopin Project', 'Island Songs', and the BAFTA-award winning score for 'Broadchurch' alongside Ólafur Arnalds. His film credits include the Netflix horror film Jaula (#2 watched film in the world for Halloween 2022), Chasing the Present, Out Of Thin Air, documentary series Travel Global Think Local, and award-winning short films Cut and Naturaleza Muerta. Hallgrímsson released his debut LP, Orbit, via Moderna Records with his single I Know You’ll Follow nominated as Song of the Year at the 2019 Iceland Music Awards (he has since received multiple nominations for subsequent releases) and followed this up with the double EP Landbrot (2021-22). His string arrangements, informed by his early and continued involvement in choral singing, are deeply atmospheric - a talent that is extended to his ever-growing list of film credits. He has recently completed the brand new instrumental LP 'I Am Weary, Don't Let Me Rest' which will release in June 2023.
